Tell us the story of your book’s title. Was it easy to find, or did it take forever?
It took me forever to be able to come up with the name. I finished the story before the title came to be and even then I still ended up changing it twice.
How did it feel when you first saw your book cover? Or when you first held your book in your hands?
It was the most amazing feeling seeing the book come to life. My children were in awe of it and I was flabbergasted at how well it came out.
Who/what made you want to write? Was there a particular person, or particular writers/works/art forms that influenced you?
Honestly I have always loved writing, I started out writing poetry when I was younger. That progressed into writing stories that came to mine with a lot of encouragement from my family and friends.
What other professions have you worked in? What’s something about you that your readers wouldn’t know?
Usually I work customer service but due to some very unfortunate events I can no longer work so that gives me more time to focus on my writing.
What was the most rewarding/meaningful part of publishing your book?
The entire process, from editing to formatting to working with the entire team, it was rewarding and meaningful.
What is one thing you hope readers take away from reading your book? How do you envision your perfect reader?
To always follow your passion even if it leads you to trouble. My perfect reader would be someone with an open mind and a passion for reading
What new writing projects are you currently working on? Or, other projects that are not writing?
Currently I am editing A Lunas Dark Past and renaming the series, writing book two for Arianna Purcell, editing A Queen Returns, and I also started a whole new book for which I haven’t established a title yet.
How was working with Atmosphere Press? What would you tell other writers who want to publish?
I loved working with Atmosphere Press and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I recommended them to all my writer friends.
