The Shell of Music: Saplen’s Voyage, by Marsipp

A WORLD WITHOUT MUSIC.
A DISABLED YOUNG WOMAN GUIDED BY ORBITING SATELLITES.
SOME MELODIES ARE NOT MEANT TO BE FORGOTTEN.

In 2080, the world we know has changed for good. Politics has disappeared. Technology, law, physics, and biology have surpassed imagination, while an unknown source provides free-flowing electricity worldwide, ushering humanity into an age of unprecedented abundance.

Yet the strangest thing has happened: Music has died.

In these oddest of times, enter Anchelika Saplen, a shoe salesperson from Berlin, who can only walk with the help of space-based satellites. When she meets Johann Grayle, professor of Astrophysics Painting, she is drawn into the mystery: The first sound of music heard in decades emerges from the Cosmos. Anchelika and the Professor’s missing nephew are the only people who know it exists.

As their time runs out, science and myth collide. Their search leads to the Shell of Music and Eternal Sovereignty, born from the tragic love story of a King and a Mermaid. Is the Shell the key to finding the missing nephew, or a power capable of changing humanity forever?

The Shell of Music: Saplen’s Voyage is the debut science-fiction novel by Belgian author Marsipp.
