The Night of the Blood Red Moon, by Jeffrey J. Luther

As a blood-red moon rises, three siblings follow their hearts into a magical forest to confront the evil who wants to destroy it.

Elijah, Jack, and Sofi are determined to head into the woods to search for their grandfather who has vanished into the misty woods beyond their home. A grandfather, whose stories of the magical forest will lead them on a journey no one ever expected.

When their grandfather doesn’t return from the misty woods by noon as promised, Elijah, Jack, and Sofi know something is wrong. Abuelita can’t follow — the forest mist won’t let her pass. So the three siblings set off alone, armed with heart stones carved by Grandpa Sam and a single mysterious phrase: Cor ad Cor. Heart to Heart.

The siblings step into a living forest of ancient trees, whispering breezes, talking animals, and unexpected guardians. But wonder soon gives way to danger when they discover that the woods, their grandfather, and a powerful bear named Louie are all under threat.

A magical adventure about courage, compassion, and the bonds between all living things, The Night of the Blood Red Moon invites readers to become heroes of their own story.
