Echoes repeat until acknowledged.

The words of a song repeat in your head all day; you see a word or phrase―on a billboard, on a passing truck, on a sign in a store window. Reading a book, a newspaper, or comic, you are struck by a phrase that makes you stop for a moment and reflect on its meaning. A random word or phrase seems to come to mind out of nowhere in the middle of a sun salutation in yoga class, or a comment is overheard in conversation. These are the echoes of the soul.

They come in different forms: the image of the last leaf remaining on the tree by your back door, the sound of birds in early spring, the light of a full moon in the morning before the sun rises, or through the shutters in your bedroom the night before. These are the seeds of the poetry and musings in this collection.
