Carl Winfield, a highly decorated captain in the United Military Alliance, has been tasked with assembling an exceptional special forces unit known as the Mud Dogs. This elite team is not your typical military unit. It is composed of individuals born with a parasitic organism called NewGen, which alters their DNA during fetal development. This modification, unique to the Mud Dogs, enables them to combat the Shezón-a relentless and powerful enemy determined to dominate all life in the universe. The fate of Earth’s children rests on the Mud Dogs, who serve as the last line of defense against the Shezón.

By Carl’s side is Raya, an Evolution shifter from a species that evolved from house cats. Joining them is Marine Lieutenant Skyler, a blind Evolution shifter and veteran of the Marine Corps’ deadliest force, known as the Advanced Biosonar Soldiers. Together, they will train the Mud Dogs to fight in complete darkness using blind technology, giving them an advantage over the enemy.
