Melody Hollenbeck has a problem. Her husband, Jeff, has joined what seems to be a cult. That, on top of his and her unemployment and his clinical depression, give Melody a lot to worry about.
When Jeff exhibits sudden signs of mental wellness, he is convinced the church is curing him. He becomes increasingly immersed in the teachings, and Melody worries he is pulling away from her. In an effort to hold on to him, she pretends to join the fold. Soon she discovers the cult has long arms and keeps a tight grip on its followers. On top of that, one of the group’s ringleaders, the mysterious Floyd, is keeping his creepy eye on her.
Should Melody risk her marriage for the truth? Will Floyd figure out she’s pretending? That she hates the church and everything it stands for? Will he tell Jeff? And what will Jeff do when he finds out?
