I wanted to give people hope that no matter what cards they are dealt they can overcome and turn things around.
Tell us the story of your book’s current title. Was it easy to find, or did it take forever?
Coming up with the title was actually easy. God gave it to me, and it really went well with the essence of the book.
Describe your dream book cover.
My dream book cover would involve my standing on top of a mountain in a flowing dress with the breeze going through my hair as the sun rises.

“I Believe” – Fantasia Barrino
“The Climb” – Miley Cyrus
“Time of My Life” – David Cook

Who/what made you want to write? Was there a particular person, or particular writers/works/art forms that influenced you?
My writing journey started as a way to purge. I honestly just wanted to help people, and if sharing my story does that, then my writing has done its job.
Where is your favorite place to write?
I love to write in my living room, with a candle lit, and music playing. Something about it just puts me in the zone.
What advice would you give your past self at the start of your writing journey?
I would tell my past self that it will be a bumpy ride, and it will involve you being very vulnerable. However, if it gives one person hope, then it will all be worth it.
What’s one thing you hope sticks with readers after they finish your book?
I hope that readers are encouraged after reading my book and that they know that they can make it through their tough times.
