What inspired you to start writing this book?

The inspiration for this book stemmed from my readings of the Bible, which prompted reflections on the human condition and the diverse experiences people encounter. This, in turn, ignited a desire to chronicle the life of a character navigating various life patterns.

Tell us the story of your book’s current title. Was it easy to find, or did it take forever?

The book title is Patterns, a concept that also extends to an unwritten album. The selection process for the title was not straightforward, as the narrative draws heavily from my personal experiences and relationships with former acquaintances.

Describe your dream book cover.

I envision a cover that’s a vibrant tapestry, reflecting the full spectrum of emotions and experiences within the book. It would move beyond a single, static image, perhaps utilizing an abstract design or a series of subtly layered visuals to hint at the complex journey the reader will undertake. The color palette would be rich and multi-toned, shifting between the warmth of hope and the cool depths of introspection, mirroring the story’s emotional arc.

What other professions have you worked in? What’s something about you that your readers wouldn’t know?

As a multifaceted creative, I identify as a music artist and songwriter, a photographer, and a model, all while currently working as a dedicated nurse’s aide. I am also the proud founder of a small company, and I am very excited to be on the cusp of venturing into the dynamic world of fashion, eager to explore new avenues of expression and collaboration within this exciting industry.

Where is your favorite place to write?

I enjoy writing in my living room and at the coffee shop.

What advice would you give your past self at the start of your writing journey?

I want to emphasize the importance of remaining true to oneself, embracing authenticity, and maintaining unwavering conviction in one’s beliefs, even when faced with external pressures or differing opinions. It’s crucial to cultivate an open and free mindset, allowing for genuine self-expression and refusing to compromise personal values in the face of external influence.

What’s one thing you hope sticks with readers after they finish your book?

Outward displays don’t always reflect true emotions. People may mask struggles. Approach interactions with empathy and kindness, recognizing others may face challenges. Practice respect and compassion.
