What inspired you to start writing this book?
I have always been interested in living a “clean” life, but once I started to struggle with health issues, it took it to a whole new level.
Describe your dream book cover.
The book cover is “me” in an open field displaying what it feels like to open yourself to a vibrant, healthy life through clean living!
If your book had a soundtrack, what are some songs that would be on it?
Peter White: “Perfect Moment” & “Baby Steps”
Dusty Boots: “Yeah You Love Me”
What books are you reading (for research or comfort) as you continue the writing process?
Well since this book is completed, I am now in the process of writing another book…which is very special, so I am researching historical moments, places, family, etc.
What other professions have you worked in? What’s something about you that your readers wouldn’t know?
Ha! Good one…:-) Well, before I launched my business in 2004, I worked in a family construction business and in countless odd jobs, including PR, travel, and real estate.
Who/what made you want to write? Was there a particular person, or particular writers/works/art forms that influenced you?
Believe it or not, since I was a very young girl, you would find me in my bedroom writing…I always wanted to be an author—it is how I express myself and, as a child, I was always at the library during the summers. There are so many books that influenced me that it’s hard to say which one in particular.
Where is your favorite place to write?
At this moment in time, my kitchen. But in general, I like to write in wide open spaces!
Do you have any writing rituals?
I am a morning person, so I write best at that time. My mind is free from the clutter. But also, if I get inspired about something, I find myself going back to writing.
What is one thing you hope readers take away from reading your book? How do you envision your perfect reader?
That they take their health seriously and know they have the right to be their own health detective and advocate! Period.
