An Interview with Shay Casper
Shay Casper writes her debut series while juggling the whirlwind of college athletics, classes, and family life. Whether crafting a D&D campaign to save a village from a fire-breathing dragon or winning skittles in a short story competition, storytelling has always been her passion. Inspired by her family and characters, she’s finally sharing her world with readers, inviting them to embark on the adventure with her.
Tell us the story of your book’s title. Was it easy to find, or did it take forever?
Finding the titles for my book series was incredibly easy since each title is a piece of the prophecy in the story.
How did it feel when you first saw your book cover? Or when you first held your book in your hands?
It was incredible to see my cover for the first time and holding it in my hands for the first time might have been even better than writing it!
What other professions have you worked in? What’s something about you that your readers wouldn’t know?
I’ve worked as a martial arts instructor and I got my degree in sports medicine to be a physical therapist.
What was the most rewarding/meaningful part of publishing your book?
Talking with my readers while they tell me theories about what happened in the story.

What is one thing you hope readers take away from reading your book? How do you envision your perfect reader?
I love different perspectives, so I hope my readers take away that sometimes people and characters look at the same thing and see it different ways.
What creative projects are you currently working on?
I’m working on a few mystery/thriller novels currently.

It was wonderful to see that Atmosphere cares about the person. I think they helped me start my author career very well and I can’t wait to see what else they do!
